During the past days, a state of great sadness dominated the Egyptian and Arab artistic community and social media platforms following the death of the artist Samir Sabri.

The news of his death was a shock to his friends and lovers, especially as he met a number of them two days before his death, and his health was stable.

In this context, the retired artist, Shams Al-Baroudi, posted on her Facebook account, a photo that she collected withSamir Sabri. Al-Baroudi appeared with her husband, artist Hassan Youssef, artist Samira Ahmed, and with them the late artist.

The photo was attached to a comment in which she said that they sat together on Wednesday, May 18 at Al-Jazira Club, where Sabri recounted beautiful memories of films he participated in with Hassan Youssef, and they laughed a lot.

While she pointed out that he held a lengthy radio interview with her husband on Thursday, revealing that they were shocked by his death on Friday.

About 85 years old

It is noteworthy that the death of the multi-talented Egyptian artist Samir Sabry was absent, on Friday, at the age of 85, following a busy career that lasted more than half a century, during which he enriched the Arab Art Library with many successful works in cinema, television, radio and theater.

He died in the early hours of Friday morning in a Cairo hotel, where he was recently staying, following he was hospitalized several times in recent months due to heart problems, according to Egyptian media.
