“Memel Motor Fest” travels to Panevėžys Business

On the afternoon of Saturday, August 24, in Panevėžys, near the RYO shopping center, one of the biggest summer car events – “Memel Motor Fest” – will start.

In this traditional exhibition of exclusive cars, the most impressive exhibits will be presented by various motor vehicle enthusiasts from all over Lithuania and Latvia, and the event is intended not only for die-hard car fans, but also for everyone who does not part with their four wheels every day and is looking for interesting and meaningful entertainment for the whole family.

What kind of car do we call exclusive?

“In my opinion, an exceptional car is the one that when you see it, you want to turn around and at least look at it,” says Edmundas Dargis, the organizer of the exhibition. “Exclusives differ from historic ones in that an exclusive car does not necessarily have to be as old as a historic car that has been awarded the Youngtimer or Oldtimer categories.”

A special guest of the exhibition will be the one cultivated by David Butkaus, born in 1994. “Volkswagen Caddy” of the show, which will take its place in the exhibition already on Monday.

Darius Keniauskas in 1986 production Chevrolet Corvette C4’s body was “reinforced” by more than 2,000 rivets and now it looks almost identical to the car concept seen in the movie “Mad Max”.

And here it is in 1966. “VW Baja”, a prototype of the “Volkswagen Beatle” made in Mexico, only with increased clearance, looks really impressive and is probably the only one in Lithuania. And it is driven by Aidas Kandroška.

Anna Vorobjova, a representative of Latvia, will demonstrate a particularly bright, well-groomed “BMW E46 Cabrio”, which, in the opinion of many, matches not only the appearance, but also the character of the owner of the car.

Spectators visiting the exhibition will be able to enjoy not only a large display of various cars and motorcycles, but also become observers of the ever-increasingly popular car audio system “dB Drag” competition, where participants will demonstrate their impressive devices.

The organizers advise visitors not to forget earplugs.

Those who want to test their endurance and skills will be able to try the motorcycle driving simulator, where they will have a completely safe, but adrenaline-filled opportunity to lift a motorcycle on the rear wheel.

The Memel Motor Fest festival program also includes a Car limbo competition to determine the lowest car, which organizers say will be one of the funniest moments of the event.

During the exhibition, the audience will also see the “Car Parade” and will be fascinated by the “Sonax sexy car wash” car wash.

The selection of the most beautiful cars and the awards for their owners have become a great tradition, from which all ten will take home impressive sponsors’ prizes.

Viewers will not be left behind either, as they will be able to vote for their favorite car and thus win gift vouchers from PC RYO or test the radio-controlled DRIFT cars of Autoaibė.

And who can remain indifferent to the jeep pulling competition and the accompanying raffle with special prizes and other abundant and fun entertainment offered on August 24. 1 p.m. In Panevėžys, next to the RYO shopping center, the “Memel Motor Fest” celebration will begin, the entrance to which is free and you can still register online www.mmf.lt.
