Prince Harry (38) and Duchess Meghan (41) have not yet confirmed that they will attend the coronation of King Charles III. (74) coming. If they participate, the two cannot expect a big reception.
Harry and Meghan Markle can apparently count on a place in the second row. This was explained by royal expert Katie Nicholl in “Vanity Fair”. The coronation will take place on May 6th in London’s Westminster Abbey.
Accordingly, Harry and Meghan are treated the same as his cousins Princess Beatrice (34) and Eugenie (32). “They take part in important family celebrations, but are not in the limelight or on the balcony of Buckingham Palace”.
According to media reports, only working royals should appear on the balcony at the coronation. The focus will be on King Charles, Queen Camilla (75), Prince William (40) and Princess Kate (41).
Should Harry and Meghan actually come to the coronation, there might still be challenging moments. The Sussexes not only made allegations once morest the royals in their Netflix documentary series “Harry & Meghan” in December.
According to “The Sun”, palace employees said that the royal family still did not want to exclude the Sussexes from the coronation.
A source said to be familiar with the matter told the paper: “They will definitely be invited and we assume that they will come.”
However, people planning the ceremony are hoping the couple will arrive before the coronation weekend. In this way, a first “unpleasant meeting” at the celebrations might be prevented.
It would be “helpful,” the insider said, “if they came earlier so there’s no total circus that day.”
