Meghan Markle was then living in Toronto during the filming of the television series “Suits”.

“I felt like all the British media had descended on Toronto,” she said.

“Then my neighbors texted me saying, ‘They’re knocking on everyone’s door, they’re trying to find you.’ They had paid some neighbors to install a live camera in my garden.

She also reminisced about another day when she came home after running some errands and found nine or ten photographers waiting for her.

But, while Meghan wanted to be ‘nice’ with the paparazzi, Harry warned her that some UK newspapers suggested she ‘likes’ the attention.

“Suddenly it was like everything in my life became a lot more insular. All the curtains were drawn and the blinds were down. It was scary. My house was surrounded. Men sitting in their cars were waiting for me to do something. My face was everywhere, my life was everywhere. The tabloids had invaded everything,” continues the former actress.

Elsewhere in the episode, the Duchess of Sussex described how she received a death threat around the same time.

“I was saying to the police, ‘If another woman from Toronto told you that I have six grown men sleeping in their car around my house and following me everywhere I go and I’m scared, wouldn’t you say- Don’t you think it’s harassment?” she recalled.

“And they said, ‘Yeah, but there’s really nothing we can do about who you’re dating.’ So I’m just supposed to live like this? And then I got a death threat, and things changed because I needed security.”
