Meghan and Harry have been defended as their new Netflix series will be released soon

The Netflix series regarding the couple allegedly used images and photographs in a misleading way.

The couple’s supporters, allies of the couple, say the clips “tell a story” and are not meant to be “literal”.

In trailers for the show, Prince Harry, 38, claims he and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Seville, are getting married.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, 41, have suffered from leaks and made up stories and that’s why the prince says he had to do everything in his power to ‘protect his family’.

The previews include clips that supposedly show the Sussexes being mobbed by photographers.

But it turns out they performed at different events, including a ‘Harry Potter’ premiere and Katie Price’s arrival in court.

One of the shots in question shows the Sussexes photographed from above, as Harry makes statements regarding leaks and the mounting of royal stories

in the press.

A former member of royal staff told The Times: ‘(Meghan) was never faced with scenes where she was mobbed by mobs because we did so much to protect her…so they had to make it up. ”

But another insider close to the Sussexes insisted the use of archival footage was “standard practice”.

They told The Daily Telegraph: “You’re using archival footage to tell a story. It’s not meant to be literal in a trailer.”

Among the couple’s critics is the Evening Standard’s royal editor Robert Jobson, who said the photos were not taken invasively.

He tweeted of one image: “This photograph used by Netflix and Harry and Meghan to suggest press intrusion is a total travesty.

“It was taken from an accredited pool at Archbishop Tutu’s residence in Cape Town. Only three people were there. H and M

(Harry and Meghan) agreed on their position. I was there.”

He was backed by ITV royal editor Chris Ship, who tweeted: “The

Archie’s shooting at Archbishop Tutu’s residence was very controlled.

“And the ITN Productions camera filming the Sussex Africa documentary was there with their permission. It was not a scrum. They spoke to (ITV News presenter) Tom Bradby at inside.”
