Emmanuel Macron meeting the beneficiaries of the France 2030 plan. The Head of State is traveling to Toulouse this Monday to meet companies encouraged by the State as part of the reindustrialization of France. The system announced in 2021 and with a budget of 54 billion euros over 5 years should allow France to catch up with its industrial delay, but also to invest in innovative technologies. Europe 1 went to meet Agreenculture, which is one of the companies supported by the State.

The Toulouse SME manufactures agricultural robots which take the form of a small white box, no larger than a television decoder. They make it possible to automate machine movements. For the company, France 2023 is a significant aid allowing it to accelerate its development. “France 2030 helps us to increase our areas of application. Today, we know how to operate autonomous robots to work the soil of the vines. Tomorrow, arboriculture will be able to use these same machines without an operator who will be able to concentrate on tasks like hoeing the soil of your orchard,” Clément Baron, director of Agreenculture, explains to Europe 1.

“Giving time to farmers”

At the rear of the company’s buildings, the boxes are tested by being positioned on small machines. The robots work using data stored on servers. This information guides the automatons to create a virtual fence in order to relieve farmers. “The goal is to carry out a task without having to intervene, like when you launch a robot vacuum cleaner. The objective is to give farmers time so that they can continue to work,” announces the head of the Agreenculture positioning and guidance center. To continue its development, the company should receive 500,000 euros in five years thanks to France 2030.
