The Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikilias, will be in Chios today, Tuesday 5/03/2024where, among other things, he will hold a broad meeting at the Chios Fire Service with the aim of preparing for the upcoming fire fighting season.
The meeting will be attended by the commander of the North Aegean PEPYD, archpyrarch Panagiotis Kypriotellis, the commander P.Y.N. of Chios, chief of staff Stavros Kapellaridis, the deputy commander of PY Chios, assistant chief of staff Apostolos Dilis, the police director of Chios, Ioannis Arambatzis, the commander of 96 ADTE Chios, brigadier general Charalambos Ambatzidis, the mayor of Chios, Ioannis Malafis, the commander of the Port Authority of Chios, vice-captain Pantelis Vatousis, o the deputy governor of Chios, Pantelis Vroulis, the director of Chios Forests, Thomais Koiloukou, the head of Civil Protection of the municipality of Chios, Nikolaos Vorrias, the authorized advisor of Civil Protection of the municipality of Chios, Georgios Zoas, the director of DEDDIE, Georgios Kalamakis.
At noon, Mr. Kikilias will attend the official opening ceremony of a pilot program for the climate crisis, which is being prepared with the cooperation of the “Maria Tsakos” Charitable Foundation, the Hellenic Association for the Protection of the Marine Environment (HELMEPA) and the Latsis Foundation, with the aim of informing citizens about climate change.
