St.Pölten (OTS) The Lower Austrian provincial government, chaired by Provincial Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, passed the following resolutions:

The Forum Schwechat Betriebsges. mb H. receives a grant of 120,000 euros to carry out annual operations in 2023.

For the annual operation in 2023 in the Mödling city theater, the Theater zum Fürchten association will receive a financial contribution of 420,000 euros.

Furthermore, the Lower Austrian state government decided to support the Waldviertler Kulturinitiative, which runs the Wald4tler Hoftheater, with an amount of 420,000 euros each for the years 2023 and 2024.

For the Schloss Weitra Festival, a grant of 120,000 euros was awarded for the year 2023 to hold the summer festival.

The Berndorf Festival will receive funding of 100,000 euros for the summer and autumn festivals in 2023.

HaagKultur GmbH receives funding of 140,000 euros to carry out the Haag Theater Summer.

It was also decided to support the Stockerau Festival in 2023 with a financial contribution of 100,000 euros.

With a three-year funding contract for the years 2023 to 2025, 82,000 euros per year plus indexation by the state of Lower Austria are made available for the activities of the Waldviertel Academy.

The three municipalities of Felixdorf, Seitenstetten and Wieselburg are being supported in the construction of three cycling facilities with non-repayable funding totaling up to 323,711.78 euros.

To ensure genetic quality and quality assurance when surveying performance characteristics in animal husbandry, the state government decided to provide state funds of 450,000 euros.

A funding agreement between the state of Lower Austria as the sponsor and the Catholic Educational Institute of the Archdiocese of Vienna as the recipient of the funding for the years 2023 to 2025 was approved. The subject of this funding contract are the activities of the funding recipient in adult education according to its statutes as well as the Bildungshaus Großrußbach, Bildungszentrum St. Bernhard, Anima – Bildungsinitiative für Frauen and the project preview submitted with the application for funding during the contract period.

A funding agreement between the state of Lower Austria as the sponsor and the Catholic Educational Institute of the Diocese of St. Pölten as the recipient of the funding for the years 2023 to 2025 was also approved. The subject of this funding contract are the activities of the funding recipient in adult education in accordance with its statutes as well as the St. Hippolyt educational center, St. Benedict educational center, Zwettl monastery educational center, Catholic workers’ movement of the St. Pölten diocese, training institute for adult education and the project preview submitted with the application for funding in the contract period.

Furthermore, the Lower Austrian state government has decided to contribute 35 percent, that is 884,800 euros, to the planning and implementation costs of rail noise protection measures in the market town of St. Andrä-Wördern.
It was also approved to contribute 25 percent, or 85,000 euros, to the costs of implementing rail noise protection measures in the market town of Loosdorf.

It was also decided to contribute EUR 37,390,000 (which is 40 percent of the planning costs and 20 percent of the implementation costs) to the planning and implementation of making the Erlauftal and Traisentalbahn more attractive.

Participation in the planning and realization of the attractiveness of the Franz-Josefs-Bahn, package 1 and package 2, in the amount of 54,387,000 euros (that is 40 percent of the planning costs and 20 percent of the implementation costs) was approved.

Another decision provides for participation in the planning and realization of the attractiveness of the Kamptal and Puchbergerbahn to the extent of 51,480,000 euros (that is 40 percent of the planning costs and 20 percent of the realization costs).

To promote the expansion and modernization of the sheltered workshop in Wr. Neustadt at the Wr. Neustadt will be provided with 6,000,000 euros.
