Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in St. Petersburg, Moscow. The meeting is the first since the attempted armed uprising in Moscow by the private military group Wagner Group. On that day, Wagner’s army withdrew during the negotiations conducted by Lukashenko following Putin’s instructions. The meeting comes amid strong threats by NATO member states, including Poland, to attack Belarus. Lukashenko also informed Putin of the position of Wagner’s troops to march on Warsaw, the capital of Poland, during the discussion at the Konstantinovsky Palace. Wagner troops are currently stationed in Belarus. Meanwhile, the Russian military also accused the Ukrainian army of using a cluster bomb in the border village of Zuravleka.
