Another anti-abortion rally is scheduled for Friday in Washington. Seven months ago, the Supreme Court of the United States suppressed the judgment Roe versus Wade, the case law which guaranteed abortion in the country. A right now called into question by the majority of States. This is the case of Wisconsin where our correspondents, Kethevane Gorjestani, Fanny Allard and Matthieu Mabin, went.

Seven months following their historic Supreme Court victorythousands of opponents of abortion meet on Friday, January 20, in Washington on the occasion of their annual march.

On Friday, June 24, the nation’s highest court overturned the Roe vs Wade ruling that guaranteed access toabortion in the USA. A decision applauded by many conservatives, who have been demanding for years that the right to legislate return to the States.

Since then, thirteen of them have adopted near total bans, while a dozen others have imposed very strict limitations. Moreover, some twenty states have taken the opposite path by increasing or strengthening access to abortion.

For pro-life activists, Roe’s cancellation is just a first step. Their ultimate goal is to make abortion nearly illegal across the country.
