This Thursday, hours before traveling to Argentina, Korolova exchanged messages with RÍO NEGRO Newspaper, where he previews details of the set he will offer this Friday at Fernández Oro, commented on characteristics of his style and referred to the Russian invasion of his country.
Q: Hello Korolova, thank you for granting us this interview for Diario RÍO NEGRO. First of all, I would like to ask you where you are at the moment.
R: Thank you, first of all. At this moment, I am in Poland, already heading to Argentina. I am very excited to visit your country once more; The love they show me both at shows and on social media is incredible.
Q: What will we see and listen to this Friday, what shows do you propose?
R: The best melodic Techno that you can hear. I am working on a new proposal, which I am presenting worldwide. Some tracks are still unreleased, and I want to share them with the Argentine public before their release on all platforms.
Q: You were already in the city of Cipolletti in November 2021, what memories do you have of that show and how much has your stage proposal changed since then?
R: I have a beautiful memory of the first time I visited Patagonia with Rave New World. It was an unforgettable experience that marked the beginning of my tour of Argentina. I am very happy to return with a unique sound that mixes melodies with techno.
Q: How did you develop your style and what influences and sounds did you draw on to become the artist you are today?
R: My sound was influenced by great melodic techno artists, such as Tale of Us, Solomun, among others, and important labels. My sound mixes progressive house with techno to create a mix of groove and imposing melody, with a lot of energy.
Q: I know you are very involved in the situation in Ukraine, where were you and what were you thinking when the Russian invasion occurred that triggered the war?
R: It was something we honestly expected because of the tensions between our president and Putin. Many of us know that it is a conflict that goes back a long way. When the war broke out, I was in kyiv and had to escape with a group of artists to Poland, a trip that ended in London. My thoughts, like those of any patriotic Ukrainian like me, were one of terror and sadness. However, I value defending our nation’s sovereignty. I do not feel indebted to my country because I did everything in my power to help my compatriots.
