Jurgen Foré will be the new Chief Operation Officer (COO) of Soudal Quick-Step from January. The cycling team made the announcement on Wednesday via a press release.
As COO, the 53-year-old will be responsible, as the press release explains, for “the daily management of the organization, assisting CEO Patrick Lefevere in general management, determining an operational budget as well as the seeking funding from sponsors and other sources of income. He will also oversee the sporting management of the team, including decision-making on the racing calendar, the rider program, recruitment and retention runners.”

The team’s boss, Patrick Lefevere, had nothing but praise for his new COO. “He is a man with an impressive CV, who loves and knows cycling as much as he has experience and expertise in the business world.”
Son of Noël Foré, winner of the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, Jurgen Foré previously worked with the Flanders Classic organization and the Lotto Dstny cycling team.
