Medvedev: Russian tanks capable of reaching Berlin in response to the appearance of their German counterparts in Kursk

Medvedev described the Bild newspaper article, which talked about the return of German tanks to Russian territory after 80 years, as vindictive.

“In response, we will do everything possible to bring modern Russian tanks to the Reichstag Square in Berlin,” Medvedev wrote on his X website.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov said that units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, numbering about a thousand people, launched an attack on the Kursk region on August 6, with the aim of seizing territory in the Sudzha area, noting that their advance deep into Russian territory had been halted.

On the same day, the border town of Sudja came under repeated heavy shelling from Ukraine, and the region’s president described the situation in the city as “very tense” the next day.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces confirmed that the operation in the Kursk region will end with the defeat of the enemy and reaching the state border.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Friday that Ukrainian forces had actually lost more than 280 military personnel and 27 armored vehicles.

For his part, Russian President Vladimir Putin, commenting on the situation in the Kursk region, stated that the Kiev regime had carried out another large-scale provocation, firing indiscriminately, including at civilian targets. The official spokeswoman for the Russian Investigative Committee, Svetlana Petrenko, reported that after the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the border area in the Kursk region, cases were opened on charges of terrorism and murder, and Russian investigators are now identifying the Ukrainian servicemen who gave orders to strike civilian targets in the region.
