Medvedev about Kostornaya’s transitions from one coach to another: “I have never had such a thing that I ran back and forth. I don’t advise anything, let a person live his life ”- Figure Skating

Two-time world figure skating champion Evgenia Medvedeva spoke regarding the transition of European champion Alena Kostornaya from the coach Eteri Tutberidze to Elena Buyanova.

– What should Kostornaya gain in order to stop rushing from one coach to another? What does she lack?

– You know, I’ve never had such a thing that I ran back and forth. Everything she does is for herself. If she feels happy, then she doesn’t need to change anything. I have such an opinion.

Do you advise her not to change anything?

“I do not advise anything, let a person live his life,” Medvedeva said.

In May 2018, Medvedev moved from Tutberidze to a Canadian coach Brian Orserand returned in September 2020.

Rebooting Kostornaya is not possible until her new trainer is reloaded. Buyanova takes Tutberidze’s students for the first time, but there is no result
