He made it clear that these bilateral negotiations “are excellent news to consolidate humanitarian, oil and political agreements in the coming months.”
For some months now, the administrations of Nicolás Maduro and Joe Biden have been showing signs of holding bilateral talks, in “the interest of strengthening commercial and political strategies in the nations.”
This Saturday it became clear, following the exchange of prisoners, seven Americans were released in the country, while two Venezuelans were released, following being detained in North America.
The leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in Bolívar, David Medina, commented that the negotiations by the United States began in 2000 and have failed.
“The US government is already blocked and that is why they seek to mediate with the countries that have had conflicts. They negotiate with Iran on the nuclear issue and with Russia they might not, because they hit back”, he assured.
Faced with this, he commented that the American nation is losing strength when it comes to putting pressure on the world political scene and that is why they decide to start talks.
However, he commented that he is looking forward to these political exchanges, which in his opinion “are a window to advance in the political sector.”
Although he viewed these conversations and their results with good eyes, he assured that “the plane hijacked in Argentina, the lifting of sanctions on companies and the release of political prisoner Álex Saab” must also be taken into account.
“Why did they release the nephews? What is involved? We don’t know. Perhaps it is something offered by the Biden administration. We just have to wait for official statements, ”he explained.
For Medina, “the American government has dissidence and that is why these negotiations take place.”
Given the scenarios exposed, his expectations for these negotiations are that they continue to take place and he hopes that they will leave good results in all sectors of the country.
