Medicine, journalism and sport united at the Sudden Death Symposium in tribute to Dr. López Farré

Un another year, a large and prestigious representation of the world of medicineof the sport and of the journalism sporting event has met at the Sudden Death Symposium in tribute to Doctor AAntonio Lopez Farre held at the headquarters ofl Spanish Olympic Committee. Among the attendees, the Minister of Health of the Community of Madrid, Enrique Ruizthe president of the COE, Alejandro Blanco; The president of Atlético de Madrid, Enrique cherry tree; or the former national soccer world champion Vicente forest.

Alejandro Blanco, president of the COE, welcomed the attendees at the Alfredo Goyeneche Auditorium, pointing out that “we talk regarding sport to be well but we have to be aware that you have to be well, to play sports“. The Olympic leader highlighted “the exceptional work that doctors do” in Spanish sport. Enrique Ruiz, Health Minister of the Community of Madrid, recalled that this symposium pays tribute to López Farré “a person concerned regarding young people and for the hearts of the young”.

Roberto Gómez, from Radio Marca, was the presenter of the act, which had three dialogue tables. The first, moderated by the journalist Jesús Álvarezwas made up of doctors Pedro GuillenAlberto IslaPedro Pérez Segura and the deputy councilor of the Community of Madrid, Fernando meadows.

In the second, coordinated by the journalist Paco García Charitywere the doctors Daniel CeleminJose Maria Villalon, from Atlético de Madrid; Luis Manuel Azcona and Pedro Villarroel.

And the third table, moderated by the director of Communication of the COE Estefanía Reywas Vicente dthe forest; Brand Director, Juan Ignacio Gallardo and the doctors Elena Isla Walls, Beatrice Fernandez-Cuesta and Isabel Married.

Each of the attendees recalled the figure of López Farré as a “good person”, “an eminence”, “a magnificent teacher”, an “exemplary friend” and “an passionate of his work”. Commemorative prizes were also awarded to some of the attendees, such as the president of Atlético de Madrid, Enrique Cerezo, and with special affection to the relatives by Lopez Farre.
