Medicine in Salta: The purge in the university

They initiated legal actions for irregularities in the admission to Medicine at the UNSa.

A big pot was opened in the house of high studies in Salta, and it is that in the national university (place that thousands choose to study) the authorities had promised that admission to medicine would have fewer restrictions on admission, this was not complied and there were people who might not even agree to surrender, which is why a group of people is carrying out different actions to be able to restore hope to thousands of being able to enter.

In communication with this medium, a representative of those affected by not being able to enter medicine gave details of the force measures to be carried out.

Regarding the origin of the problem, he said: “everything originated due to the problem that began in the virtual platform, since many failures occurred in which the UNSa was not responsible, later they asked us to send messages to the UNSa mail informing regarding the problem but the messages were not answered. And in the march we ask that due to the irregularity and the fact that no one entered the current partial which yielded more than 700 boys of the 6000 who were doing the race, that the material be regular and not promotional to enter, since technically all matter has to be regular and they do not comply with it».

As to whether they were able to meet with authorities, he said “we met with authorities but they only gave us verbal solutions and not with deeds, all to get us out of the institution.”

In social networks there were rumors of “accommodations” to enter medicine regarding this, added the newcomer “the truth is that every year there are those rumors, it is suspected that this year it was more notorious due to the fact of the change of grades before showing the list of those who render the partial which left several boys out and others entered, we are taking legal action, which many boys agree with a lawyer to carry it out ».

Persecution towards those who claim

The person preferred to remain as an anonymous source as much as possible, since “the unsa kind of records the boys and complicates our lives”, testimony that can be heard from several people in different events. What kind of institution makes its members feel threatened when they demand something fair?

Finally, the source asked those who might not enter medicine to join the cause, because if things do not change this year, next year they will maintain the new reforms. Since its opening in Salta, 80% of medical applicants have been left out of the dream of being a doctor, a situation that does not happen in Tucumán.

In the COVID19 pandemic, it was clear that the health personnel were at the forefront of the fight, the lack of doctors was one of the main problems at the time of the fight to save people’s lives, so what is the use of continuing to restrict the career of medicine?, if by passing all the subjects and instances of the career a person can already practice as a doctor, leaving the request for the entrance exam as an unnecessary action. In the north of Argentina, in remote areas or in the localities, the lack of doctors is also noticeable, sometimes capital doctors make visits to different places once a month, that is, people from the interior of the province do not have continuous access It is difficult for many health services to travel in search of specialists, especially if it is the elderly.

In conclusion, there are thousands of people who pay training centers just to access the degree when that support might be given even during the course, but with the certainty that that person is already in medicine.
