There’s a generation change
positive.
Yesterday I attended the change of medical address, where Dr. Edelmiro Pérez, with a great capacity for service, medical and constructive expansion and creativity, which no one can doubt, hands over leadership to Dr. Óscar Vidal Gutiérrez, who in his eyes represents progress , change and above all tenderness towards his historic faculty, which he is now going to direct.
The Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital, I reiterate, are the most important institutions of the UANL because they involve academia, service, research and social development in a single mission, which lately a group of young doctors, especially in the University Hospital, they have made it progress to levels that we had not known and that must be recognized by Edelmiro Pérez.
Now comes a gentleman of science, an expert in gynecology and oncology, with extensive academic training, who takes the reins of an institution that has the historical prestige of Dr. Gonzalitos and that has become a very important regional pole for the development of the service. and especially research, since its members of the SNI are among the majority in the country.
The foregoing as part of the UANL, which is also directed by a prestigious doctor, Dr. Santos Guzmán, who knows the academy and the service, putting aside the phenomenon of power politics and always seeking in our Faculty of Medicine the power of know, that now the new director is going to illustrate.
My congratulations go to Dr. Óscar Vidal and my hope that he continues to be my faculty, from which I draw all my knowledge, my present and my future, a national and regional example, in his attitude of service that includes science, research and the art of curing, alleviating or understanding, which is in itself integral humanism; and since I know the new director I am sure that he will practice it.
Descartes: I think, therefore I am… A great doctor leaves and another arrives. And so the line of an exemplary and unique faculty in the country, continues on its way and in its desire to serve, heal, transform, investigate and above all alleviate human pain, which is linked to life and death.
