Likewise, he indicated that the young man is conscious, but under strict medical care “he still does not speak, he is in physical and speech therapy. We understand that it is a slow process,” said the woman.

Faced with the case, according to what was stated by the relative, the Military Criminal Justice is conducting the respective investigations, and the uniformed officer who would have activated the endowment weapon is facing a disciplinary process.

It should be remembered that through information provided by the Metropolitan Police it was learned that around 5:00 in the morning of that Saturday, February 11, the young university student remained with a group of people on 84th Street with 44th Carrera, in the neighborhood Granadillo, when agents arrived to attend to a complaint for disturbance of public order, apparently, derived from a fight. Although, apparently, residents of the area had reported that a group of people “were consuming intoxicating drinks around a vehicle with the sound at high volume.”

At that moment, in the midst of confusing events, the minor was hit with the weapon provided by one of the uniformed officers who came to attend to the case.

Faced with the fact, General Jorge Urquijo, commander of the Metropolitan Police, stated that an investigation had been open from the moment the situation occurred and added that the medical evolution of the injured young man was awaited.
