Effective since Tuesday April 11, 2023, the medical caravan of free care is gradually reaching cruising speed, judging by the noticeable crowds in front of the patient registration counters open for the occasion.
Dr. Gertrude Mouangue Mutome, Medical Director of the University Hospital Center of Libreville (Chul), coordinator of the said caravan, indicated that an average of 25 patients are consulted per day and per department on a daily basis.
The populations are visibly enthusiastic and in favor of these consultations which enable them to have free access to specialist doctors and to relieve their ailments.
The Chul has regarding thirty clinical services, all concerned by this caravan which is held until next April 21.
The Medical Director also did not forget to recall that the consultations are free for all the populations of Greater Libreville, whether they are insured with Cnamgs or not.
Only radiology and laboratory examinations are fully invoiced to the uninsured.
Those of Cnamgs policyholders obviously benefiting from their co-payments.
Medicines and other treatments are also not distributed during this caravan which takes place every working day, Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. only.
