“Medical Friendship Mission” is presented, which will benefit vulnerable populations in Chaco

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The “Medical Friendship Mission,” a joint initiative between the governments of Paraguay, the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the United States, will take place during the months of July and August in medical facilities in the city of Filadelfia, department of Boquerón, benefiting the most vulnerable populations of Chaco.

This mission reflects the trilateral health commitment of the governments of the United States of America, China-Taiwan and Paraguay, for the benefit of the population of the Paraguayan Chaco region, said the head of the Ministry of Public Health, María Teresa Barán, through her official account X.

The initiative was presented during the event, which was attended by the Minister of Public Health and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rubén Ramírez; and the ambassadors José Chih-Cheng Han of Taiwan and Marc Ostfield of the United States.

More than 70 military medical professionals from the United States, Taiwan and health personnel from the Ministry of Health will participate in the mission.

The care will cover different areas such as general and emergency surgery, as well as nursing, dentistry, anesthesiology, optometry, pharmacy, and family medicine, the head of the health portfolio highlighted.
