Some 139 Mirandinos were treated during a day of comprehensive medical care, carried out in the communities of Las Américas and Barola, located in Carrizal, Altos Mirandinos subregion in Miranda state, this Wednesday.
Health care was executed by the Municipal Council of Carrizal in conjunction with the Miranda State Government and the Barrio Adentro Salud Mission, following the request by the community members, through the 1×10 of Good Government.
Cintia Martínez, spokesperson for Social Protection in the jurisdiction, explained that 94 older adults, 30 young adults and 15 adolescents were treated with ophthalmology, immunization, deworming and general medicine services.
“With this comprehensive care we are seeking to guarantee the social protection of our municipality,” he stressed.
During the day there was delivery of medicines for patients.
First day in the sector
Minerva Palmera, head of the Las Américas community, asserted that this day of comprehensive medical care is the first to be held in these communities so far this year.
«The neighbors were abandoned in terms of house-to-house medical assistance, but thank God, this operation was carried out in the sector. Let’s hope that these social attentions continue to be carried out, “said Palmera.
In agreement, Zenaida Ortiz, health spokesperson for Barola, highlighted the inter-institutional relations between the Governor’s Office of Miranda, the Comprehensive Health Areas of Community Health (Asic) of Carrizal and popular power.
