The General Delegation for Penitentiary Administration and Reintegration (DGAPR), organized this weekend, in partnership with the Anfas Association for helping patients with chronic respiratory pathologies, a medical campaign for the benefit of 200 residents of the local take of Ain Sebaa from Casablanca.
Initiated on the occasion of the international day of fight once morest asthma, this medical campaign intended for the assumption of responsibility of cases of asthma and other respiratory diseases, made it possible to carry out consultations, examinations and tests for the screening for respiratory diseases and tuberculosis within the prison establishment.
On this occasion, experts presented important explanations and instructions to the residents on the disease of asthma, its symptoms and the appropriate mode of use of the drugs in particular the inhaler.
For Dr Mouna Regragui from the health care service at the DGAPR, this awareness and care caravan takes place on the occasion of World Asthma Day and is part of the strengthening of the offer health and improving access to specialized medical services for the benefit of residents of penitentiary establishments.
This initiative, she added, has enabled the programming of several activities for the benefit of the residents, in particular clinical examinations for patients suffering from asthma by doctors from the Anfas association, specialists in pulmonary diseases and tuberculosis, in partnership with the Cipla laboratory.
For his part, the representative of the Anfas Association, Ouajih Jabrane explained that this is an awareness campaign and screening for respiratory diseases for the benefit of residents of the local prison of Ain Sebaa, noting that this action aims to make residents aware of the seriousness of this disease, in addition to presenting instructions relating in particular to the method of treatment, the appropriate instructions for use of drugs, in particular inhalers, and advisers on behaviors to avoid in order to fight once morest the spread of this pathology.
The initiative, he said, is part of a series of actions that will be organized in partnership with the DGAPR in other penitentiary establishments in the Kingdom.
