Medical association election: All nine in the professional representation

The previous leader, the Lower Austrian Medical Association team Andreas Stippler, missed the declared election goal. With 13 mandates, the race for first place was close but lost. Spokesman Michael Urban admitted to the KURIER on Saturday evening that it had not been possible to remain the strongest force: “That is to be accepted.”

In principle, it would be possible for the two strongest groups, with their 27 mandates, to form a narrow majority in the General Assembly (53 mandates).

Item 3: The previous Vice President Gerrit Loibl, who was named as the preferred successor by the outgoing President of the Medical Association, was unable to present himself with his list “The Independents”: He started the race to succeed his mentor with three mandates. The #RELOAD list (Hasenhündl, Wiltos, Zeitelberger, Frühwirth) did better with seven mandates, while the “The Residents” list was able to secure five mandates. Liste MFG was also able to achieve respectable success in Lower Austria: four mandates.

In addition to the independents of Vice President Gerrit Loibl, two other groups with three mandates will be represented in the future general assembly: the voluntary platform and the list “Shaping a common future” by Martina Dinhobl, who herself did not make it into the professional representation. The “Integrative Medicine” list made it into the General Assembly with one mandate.
