MediaTek releases Helio G36 processor: 12nm process, supports 50MP lens –

It was reported on February 14 that MediaTek launched the entry-level chip Helio G36, which can provide greater memory support, higher screen refresh rate and higher-spec lenses, and is expected to be launched in the Indian market.

According to reports, MediaTek Helio G36 adopts 12nm process, has eight Cortex-A53 cores, the maximum frequency is 2.2GHz, supports 8GB LPDDR4x, the GPU is PowerVR GE8320, and the maximum frequency is 680MHz. Supports 90Hz display screen and MediaTek HyperEngine 2.0 Lite game engine, supports dynamic allocation of CPU, GPU and memory resources.

In addition, the Helio G36 supports 50-megapixel lenses, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) and RSC (Rolling Shutter Compensation), which can reduce the jelly effect when capturing fast motion or mobile phone shake. In terms of signals, MediaTek Helio G36 integrates a global 4G LTE Cat-7 Modem (2CC-CA), supports basic dual 4G SIM, and allows VoLTE/ViLTE services to be provided on two connections.

Compared with the Helio G37, the CPU frequency of the Helio G36 has been reduced by 100MHz, the specification of the main camera has been upgraded from 25MP to 50MP, and the maximum supported memory has also been upgraded from 6GB to 8GB. The GPU of the two processors is PowerVR GE8320, and the frequency is also 680MHz.
