Medialink Group Limited, based in Hong Kong, has officially unveiled Ani-One India, a specialized sub-channel dedicated to catering specifically to anime enthusiasts in the Indian market.
While Indian viewers continue to have access to a wide array of content on the broader Ani-One Asia channel, the newly launched India-focused version represents a strategic move by Medialink to tailor content for different regions, mirroring successful operations in Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Currently, Ani-One India is streaming popular titles such as The Faraway Paladin and How Not to Summon a Demon Lord, while Ani-One Asia showcases highly anticipated series including Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War – The Conflict- and the exciting MF Ghost Season 2 for the Fall 2024 season.
Following the strategy of competitors like Muse Communication, Ani-One is expected to explore dubbing anime in regional languages, including Hindi, making it more accessible to a broader audience.
Ani-One Asia also offers a premium subscription service, Ani-One Asia Ultra, priced at ₹119, which provides exclusive access to flagship anime titles that are not available to free users.
In a recent interview with Anime News Network, Medialink co-founder and CEO Lovinia Chiu highlighted that India ranks high on their list of target markets, with the company’s ambitious five-year plan aimed at expanding into anime merchandise. Medialink has already established a significant presence within India’s anime scene by distributing popular films such as Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle and Blue Lock the Movie: Episode Nagi in local theaters.
