Media: Suspended for Exposing a Raped Lady, “Kelbul Magazine” Rejects the Accusations and Urges the CSAC to Become in its Decision!

A few hours after its nationwide suspension for 15 days for having broadcast an item showing the unveiled face of a woman who was a rape victim, Kelbul Magazine broke its silence to contest the decision of the CSAC – Superior Audiovisual Council.

According to the Managing Director of Kelbul Magazine, David Nsiala Nzambi, the incriminated element is not in the edition of Monday, August 12, 2024 and urges the CSAC to reverse its decision.

“We learned through our distribution partners and social networks of the precautionary suspension of our magazine for having broadcast an element showing the unveiled face of a lady who was a rape victim, which element was surrounded by harsh comments, exposing the victim to public contempt, without us being notified as is customary. Although not notified, we do not find the incriminated element in our broadcast of Monday, August 12, 2024. This is why, for this reason, we ask you, Mr. President, distinguished senior advisers, members of the plenary, to kindly reconsider your action,” he wrote to the leaders of the CSAC.

He further indicated that its creation to date, Mag Kelbul has never been the subject of any questioning by the CSAC. “That from all the above, the magazine kelbul not acknowledging having disseminated such an element on August 12, 2024, the much-vaunted decision is extremely detrimental to us.”
