- The Republican candidate claimed victory with a speech in Florida
Donald Trump, Republican candidate for the White House, won the presidential elections in the United States with 277 delegates compared to 224 for the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, according to projections by the media CNN and AP.
The former president had already claimed victory over the Democratic vice president during a rally before his followers in Palm Beach (Florida), after obtaining good partial results from the Electoral College and winning the popular vote.
The Electoral College is a body made up of 538 delegates who elect states based on their population. The winning candidate in each state, even by a single vote, takes all of its delegates with the exception of Nebraska and Maine. The candidate who reaches 270 delegates wins the elections.
The states that Donald Trump won were: Alabama, Arkansas, North Carolina, South Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Donald Trump Celebration
Trump was accompanied by his family and campaign managers in Palm Beach, from where he gave a speech and assured that he will govern for everyone.
“Success is going to unite us, and we are going to start by putting America first. “I will not let you down,” said the Republican during his speech at the Florida Convention Center.
The former president thanked each of the members of his family and the Americans in a statement that had a largely conciliatory tone and in which he invited us to put the divisions of recent years behind us.
“Today will be remembered as the day Americans regain control of their country. We are going to do a great job and we are going to turn things around. “This will be the day when the American people take back the power of their country,” added the Republican.
Trump celebrated the results in key states such as North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. In addition, he highlighted that the Republican party also won the majority in the Senate.
He also stressed the promise of sealing the border and allowing migrants to enter the United States but legally.
The Republican offered a long thank you to magnate Elon Musk, who, prior to the speech, accompanied him to the Mar-a-Lago club, located a few blocks from the convention center, to see the election results.
Before finishing the count and after learning some data about the irreversible voting trend in the United States, candidate Kamala Harris decided to cancel the speech that was scheduled and postponed it until this Wednesday, November 6.

Analysis of the Election Results
The 2024 presidential election results marked a significant shift in the political landscape of the United States. Analysts pointed to various factors contributing to Trump’s resurgence, including his continued popularity among Republican voters, dissatisfaction with the current administration, and a surge of grassroots support that mobilized voters across the country.
Political experts noted the effective use of social media by Trump and his campaign, which allowed for direct communication with supporters and a rapid response to narratives pushed by opponents. Furthermore, issues such as immigration, the economy, and national security resonated strongly with the electorate, reinforcing Trump’s appeal as a candidate focused on traditional conservative values.
As preparations for the upcoming inauguration begin, both parties will now turn their attention to strategizing for the next Congress and beyond, as the implications of this election will undoubtedly shape the political discourse for years to come.
