Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya inaugurated the new national television set this Friday, March 24.
The head of the Guinean junta had not set foot on the RTG since the day of the coup on September 5, 2021. He pointed this out himself. “This time, we did not come with a press release” referring to his first visit to the RTG to read the press release announcing the Special Forces coup.
Although some think it was a surprise visit, Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya had come to officially inaugurate the new media platform and inquire regarding the working conditions of journalists.
Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya was accompanied by the Prime Minister, Bernard Goumou, his Chief of Staff, Djiba Diakité and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Morissanda Kouyaté. They were welcomed by the Minister of Information and Communication, Aminata Kaba.
