Medellín transporters against child sexual violence

Medellín continues to strengthen its child protection networks. In a recent meeting, the Office of the First Lady and the Ministry of Mobility managed to commit 90 representatives of public transport companies to join the fight against child sexual violence with the campaign “Nobody messes with my body.”

This initiative seeks to raise awareness and mobilize citizens, especially those who interact daily with minors, about the importance of preventing sexual violence.

Drivers, due to their strategic role in the city, become fundamental allies to identify possible risk situations and act in a timely manner.

“Transporters are eyes that are throughout our city and can help us replicate this prevention message”said the first lady, Margarita María Gómez Marín.

During the meeting, they were provided with tools and resources to identify warning signs and know the protocols to follow if they witness or suspect a case of child sexual violence.
