The attempted theft of several Rolex watches that would be part of the sale of a vehicle, says the mayor of Medellín, Federico Gutiérrez, was the trigger for a young man to be injured with a firearm in the Milla de Oro shopping center, located in El Poblado, Medellin.

The events occurred at 7:35 pm on Tuesday, January 16, when three men, who were outside a well-known cafe, were intimidated by two armed individuals who arrived at the site.

The firearm found next to the alleged thief.

“There is information and it was that the commercial exchange was taking place there, where, apparently, a vehicle was being paid for with Rolex watches. “That is neither normal nor usual,” said Gutiérrez when asked regarding what happened.

Badly injured, he was found in the elevator area and rushed to the Las Vegas clinic.

“He came to steal it, but he didn’t realize that those at the table were going to answer him and he ran away,” said a woman who was in the shopping center when the case of theft occurred.

Regarding the state of health of the alleged criminal, a man between 25 and 30 years old who might not be identified, remains brain dead following being shot in the head with an entry and exit hole.

The other subject involved in the case managed to flee the shopping center as soon as the shots were heard.
