“Medellín Mayor Daniel Quintero’s Comments on Nacional Riots and Tino Asprilla Controversy”

After the riots caused by those of the southpopular bar National Athleticon April 16, due to disagreements between this sector of the Nacional fans and the managers, daniel quintero, mayor of Medellín, came out days later wearing the Nacional shirt to give controversial statements about the conflict between these parties. A week passed and Mayor Quintero took advantage of the Governing Council this Monday to respond to Tino Asprilla and Jhon Jairo Trellez, former soccer players for Nacional and the Colombian National Team.

“I did not respond to Tino because he is not the one who manages his Twitter account, he does Carlos Escobar who is a member of Democratic CenterQuintero said.

“Sometimes they ask (Tino) why he trilled such a thing and he answers, ‘ah, I didn’t know…’ drinking beer and shooting into the air,” he added.

And he ended with a recommendation for both ex-soccer players: “I tell Tino Asprilla and Tréllez to manage their own Twitter account.”

Regarding the problems that the city is experiencing with the behavior of this popular bar, “I am first a mayor who is a fan of Nacional and as mayor I have to think about everything… Dimayor has done well by sanctioning those of the south the six dates, but there was also responsibility of the directives and that was after not attending the meeting at the dialogue table at 3:00 pm the day before the game”, said the mayor.
