Faced with the shortage of doctors, to fight once morest medical deserts and to improve the lives of its residents, the Montana Group called on MEDADOM, the major player in telemedicine in France.
The objective of this partnership? Facilitate access to care by allowing residents to consult a general practitioner quickly, without an appointment. Indeed, the Montana Group wishes to offer the MEDADOM teleconsultation service through a pilot project within its service residences in Cholet and Angoulême.
A MEDADOM teleconsultation terminal installed within the residences themselves will be made available to seniors, which will allow them to consult a doctor whenever they wish. Thus, 90% of the usual medical diagnoses can be carried out thanks to a range of 6 medical devices (stethoscope, dermatoscope, blood pressure monitor, otoscope, oximeter, blood pressure monitor, and thermometer). If necessary, a prescription can also be issued to the patient and no teleconsultation costs are to be advanced, since everything is covered by Social Security.
As the Residence Montana Cholet is anchored in the heart of the city, the Montana Group and MEDADOM also wish to make this telemedicine service available to the inhabitants of the surrounding area. This partnership will therefore allow everyone to benefit from a qualitative and accessible medical follow-up, while respecting the course of care.
