Jeddah: Saudi Arabia has signed two contracts worth 10 million dollars for the prevention of measles and polio in eight countries. As part of the World Health Summit in Berlin, the King Salman Relief Center signed two joint agreements with the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The first agreement signed with WHO aims to prevent the spread of measles and polio in Somalia, Sudan and Iraq. It will benefit 12,076,185 people. The contract number is 50 lakh dollars. The second agreement signed with UNICEF is for immunization activities in Congo, Central African Republic, Guinea, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

This money is given to prepare vaccines and other materials needed to prevent polio and measles in these places. 2,095,102 people will benefit from it. The contract number is 50 lakh dollars. The two agreements signed with these two UN organizations are in the framework of supporting international efforts to prevent and eradicate the spread of measles and polio among millions of children in beneficiary countries.
