MARVEL Cinematic Universe (MCU) is scheduled to launch their newest film Deadpool & Wolverine next June. The film, which brings together two superheroes, will be a continuation of the Deadpool film series.
This film, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, has been eagerly awaited by Marvel MCU fans since its initial announcement. The meeting between Deadpool with a silly personality and Wolverine with a serious personality attracted a lot of attention from the audience.
But before the film was released, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige revealed that he initially warned Jackman not to play Wolverine once more, considering that Wolverine had already died in Logan.
“I said, ‘Let me give you some advice, Hugh. Don’t go back,’ ” Feige told Empire, quoted from Variety, Sunday (5/5).
“You get the greatest ending in history with ‘Logan.’ It’s not something we should cancel.” he added.
Not only that, Feige initially admitted that he rejected Reynolds’ offer to bring Wolverine into the third Deadpool film. Ferge admitted that at that time he was looking for the best way to introduce this character into the MCU following Disney acquired Fox.

“Reynolds revealed that he first envisioned Deadpool 3 as a Rashomon story regarding Wolverine and Deadpool, and the things they experienced together, but told from three very different perspectives. In fact, I wasn’t even sure I would include Deadpool in an attempt to introduce Wolverine,” he said. .
But what ultimately made Feige agree to the idea of Jackman returning as Wolverine was that he (Jackman) would not be playing the version of Logan/Wolverine that audiences had grown to love in the various X-Men films.
Feigie is reluctant to reveal how the two superheroes will meet, but many believe the timeline travel concept will be a way to bring Deadpool and Wolverine together. (Rif/Z-7)
