McDavid became the first NHL player in 27 years to score 140 points. In the 1995/96 season, Pittsburgh Penguins forwards Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr succeeded. Only ten players in league history have crossed that milestone. Wayne Gretzky holds the record for most points in a season with 215.
Edmonton’s German forward Leon Draisaitl scored his 300th NHL goal in 630 games. Only Alexander Ovechkin (473 matches), Stephen Stamkos (550) and Sidney Crosby (630) have reached such a mark faster than him among active players.
