Mbuyapey families will receive land titles after years of waiting

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The National Institute for Rural Development (Indert) held a public hearing on Wednesday in the Municipality of Mbuyapey, Paraguarí department, with a view to titling the lands of the colonies.

This is a historic event for the city, since never before had a president of Indert visited our city and I am very grateful and even more so, because a process of titling of the lands of our city will begin, said Mayor Luis Rojas.

The head of the agrarian entity, Francisco Ruiz Díaz, said that the work to be carried out in 4 colonies is relatively easy and that from August in these cases the massive property sweeping (BPM) will begin.

Ruiz Díaz said that this is a project that will be extended to the departmental level, since it is being carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Habitat (MUVH) and the Government of Paraguarí.

The president of Indert reported that the next city in the Department of Paraguarí where work will be done on the titling is Quyquyho, where conversations have also already begun with the mayor, Patricia Corvalán.

This work is part of the Government’s massive titling policy, undertaken by instructions of the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, Ruiz Díaz stressed. He highlighted the numbers achieved, which in one year will exceed what was achieved in 5 years of the previous government. In 9 months of management, more than 4,000 titles have already been delivered, compared to the average of 927 delivered per year, in the last 10 years.
