Mr. Ori 1.5 million yen, Mr. Moriyama 300,000 yen Donations not listed in political fund report[12/20 19:08]

It turned out that the Liberal Democratic Party’s members of the House of Representatives Yasuhiro Ori and Yutaka Moriyama, despite receiving donations and grants, did not list them in their political fund income and expenditure reports.

Under the Political Funds Control Law, if the same organization or individual receives donations or grants exceeding 50,000 yen annually, the amount and the recipient’s name must be recorded in the income and expenditure report.

However, the “National Taizankai”, which is headed by Kyushu proportionally elected representative Ori, did not list the 1 million yen donated by the “Prefectural Medical Federation” in October last year. The 500,000 yen issued by the Liberal Democratic Party Kagoshima Prefecture Branch Federation in May last year was not listed in the third constituency branch.

In addition, it turned out that the “National Taizankai” received a total of 1.1 million yen last year, which was recorded in the income and expenditure report of the “third constituency branch” instead of the National Taizankai.

Rep. Ori’s office said it was a clerical mistake, and commented, “We confirmed that we would be careful not to make any mistakes.”

In addition, the “Moriyama Association”, which is represented by Moriyama, who is elected in the 4th ward, did not include a donation of 300,000 yen from the “Prefectural Forestry Political Federation” in its income and expenditure report last October.

Representative Moriyama’s office commented, “I want to prevent this from happening in the future due to a clerical omission.”

In both cases, corrections have already been made.
