Kagoshima Marathon Traffic Regulation Information[03/03 19:21]

Due to the Kagoshima Marathon, which will be held on the 5th, there will be large-scale traffic restrictions on the day of the event.

The full marathon will start at 8:30 am in front of the former dolphin port in Kagoshima City, and following passing through Kagoshima City, head north on National Route 10, turn around in front of Lawson Aira Shirokanehara store in Aira City, and aim for Kagoshima City Hall.・It is a course of 195 km.

On the course and its surroundings, traffic restrictions will be implemented in sequence according to the times when the runners will pass.

The main road, National Route 10, will be closed to vehicles from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at the longest, and vehicle traffic will be restricted sequentially from 3:00 am to 4:30 pm in the Kagoshima city area. For this reason, the executive committee is calling for non-private cars, prefectural road No. 40 and Kyushu Expressway to detour.

However, currently, part of the route between Aira Interchange and Satsuma Yoshida Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway is two-way due to construction work, and congestion is expected.

The competition will be broadcast live on MBC TV from 8:00 am to 11:30 am before the start. Also, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, it will be streamed from the MBC app and website.
