Graduation ceremony at a public junior high school Remote participation from home[03/15 19:54]

Graduation ceremonies were held on the 15th at most public junior high schools in Kagoshima prefecture, and about 14,000 people left the school building.

At Konan Junior High School in Korai-cho, Kagoshima City, 131 people celebrated their graduation day. It was the third graduation ceremony to be celebrated by Corona, but this year there was no limit to the number of parents attending, and many parents watched over the beginning of their child.

The diploma, which had been given to the student representatives until last year, is gradually returning to the normal form, such as being handed to each person this year.

(Graduation representative Yota Sakaguchi) “Even if you are away, the memories and experiences of three years will remain in your heart. Let’s act with confidence in ourselves without stopping.”

This is Kotaro Mizuno, who graduated from Konan Junior High School on the 15th. He was unable to attend the graduation ceremony on the 15th because he became a close contact with the new Corona. For graduates like Mr. Mizuno who cannot attend the ceremony, Konan Junior High School delivered a video of the ceremony.

(Mr. Kotaro Mizuno) “I was very disappointed that I couldn’t actually participate, but I am very happy that I participated in this way due to the preparation of the teachers.”

About 10 people will attend this remote ceremony, and the diploma will be given individually at the school at a later date. After the graduation ceremony, the students missed the goodbye by taking pictures with their friends and talking about their memories in the school playground.
