A male worker in his 50s died in an electric shock accident on the 19th at the Hisatsu Orange Railway iron bridge in Satsumasendai City.

According to the police and others, around 10:30 am on the 19th, a worker on the Hisatsu Orange Railway’s iron bridge over the Sendai River in Satsumasendai City called 119, saying, “The worker was electrocuted and his clothes were on fire.” bottom. In this accident, Noriaki Tsurumoto (56), a painter in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, who was spraying paint, died.

At that time, eight people were working on the iron bridge. It is believed that Mr. Tsurumoto touched a high-voltage power line for some reason, and there were burn marks on his body.

Due to the accident, the operation was temporarily suspended between Kamikawauchi Station and Sendai Station on the Hisatsu Orange Railway and between Sendai Station and Kagoshima Chuo Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line, which is supplied with the same power.
