Real Madrid held a huge ceremony to present Mbappe, with a full attendance of regarding 80,000 spectators in the stands of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium, nearly 15 years following the legendary presentation of the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo as a player for the team. Several prominent figures attended the ceremony to present Mbappe, headed by his compatriot Zinedine Zidane.
Mbappe received a huge cheer from the fans upon his first appearance at Real Madrid’s home ground as a Los Blancos player.
Mbappe greeted the Real Madrid fans before shaking hands with the club’s officials and legends.
Florentino Perez, the president of the Spanish club, spoke regarding his team’s signing of Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Perez said: “My dear Madridistas, it is a pleasure to present the new players to Real Madrid following the pandemic. A month ago, this stadium was a stage that welcomed all the fans who celebrated the fifteenth Champions League.”
He added: “In this stadium we had the best players who defended our shirt, and we have the Golden Ball winner, one of the best coaches in the history of this club and the owner of the historic shot in the Champions League final many years ago, Zidane.”
He explained: “Dear Zidane, 10 years ago you hosted a child here, this player is fulfilling his life dream today, Kylian Mbappe.”
He addressed Mbappe, saying: “Dear Mbappe, welcome home. You have achieved your dream because you did not give up. You wanted it. Your will overcame adversity. I have fallen in love with Real Madrid since I was a child.”
He concluded: “The fans will support you until your last breath. You have achieved your dream. Your determination is what made you overcome all those obstacles to wear that shirt, the shirt of the 15 European Cups. Your family, your father and mother, accompany you. In turn, Mbappe, the new Real Madrid star, expressed his great happiness at being presented to the fans and the media, at the Merengue’s stronghold, the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium.

Mbappe passed the medical examination this morning at Real Madrid’s clinic, and signed his contract with Los Blancos until the summer of 2029.
Mbappe joined Real Madrid on a free transfer, following his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired last June.
