Long praised for his maturity and his communication, Kylian Mbappé seems to be doing nothing, currently, to heal his declining popularity in France. While the captain of the Blues found himself at the heart of the debates last week, playing with Real Madrid on Saturday evening in La Liga two days after Didier Deschamps did not summon him for the October gathering, precisely so that he can breathe a little, this time it is the Swedish escapade of the former Parisian which calls out.
Thursday evening, while the Blues beat Israel (4-1) in Budapest (Hungary) in the League of Nations, Mbappé was having a good time in… Stockholm, far from his new Spanish stronghold.
A dinner then a nightclub trip
An “authorized” trip, insofar as Kylian Mbappé obtained a few days of rest from Real Madrid, before resuming training next Monday or Tuesday. The Merengue staff also sent him an individual training program, so that he can perfect his preparation before the resumption of La Liga and the Champions League.
The striker therefore took advantage of this free time to go to Stockholm with several relatives including his former teammate at PSG, Nordi Mukiele, loaned this season to Bayer Leverkusen, in Germany. As revealed by the local press, the small group notably dined in a posh restaurant before going to a nightclub.
Kylian Mbappé therefore did not make a mistake, neither in relation to Real, nor in relation to the France team. Officially, this excursion is not a subject for the Blues, who have their heads turned towards the trip to Belgium on Monday evening.
