The Paris Saint-Germain star confirmed Thursday that he will “fight for the rights of the individual image” following the French capital club used an interview with him in a video clip to promote ticket sales for next season.
and wrote Kylian Mbappe On his Instagram page, “I was not informed at any time of the content of the interview.”
He added, World Cup champion Russia 2018 Wasif Qatar 2022 “It looked like a key interview during a marketing day at the club. I don’t agree with that video posted. That’s why I’m fighting for individual image rights. Paris Saint-Germain is a big club and a big family, but it’s definitely not Kylian Saint-Germain.”
Faced with Mbappe’s reaction, the French champions and league leaders this season later removed the video from their website and YouTube channel, although it can still be viewed on YouTube.
The promotional film was limited to a speech by France captain Mbappe alone.
Argentine star Lionel Messi did not appear in the film, while a source told AFP earlier this week that the little “flea” is set to leave the Parisian capital at the end of this season.
Mbappe previously called for respecting the rights of individual players’ photos while joining his country’s national team. On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain did not comment on Mbappe’s statements when contacting him.
