Mbabane ‘saves’ Messi from wasting penalty; One goal win for PSG | PSG, Real Madrid

Paris ∙ French giants PSG won the first quarter of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final victory over superstar Killian Mbabane with Real Madrid’s ‘unbalanced’ goal in injury time. Superstar Lionel Messi missed a penalty kick in the final minute of the second half, but Killian Mbabane scored PSG’s savior with a stunning goal. PSG won the home game 1–0 thanks to this one goal.

The second quarter of the pre-quarter will take place on March 9 at the Santiago Bernabeu, the home ground of Real Madrid. This time PSG’s move is to change the embarrassment of not having won the Champions League yet.

Real held on until injury time thanks to the saves of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, who played in brilliant form as PSG dominated throughout the match. However, in the last minute of injury time, Mbabane found the back of the net from substitute Neymar’s pass. Neymar’s first appearance since last November was also instrumental in PSG’s success.

In another match, Manchester City activated their quarter-final hopes by beating Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon by five goals to one. Bernardo Silva’s double (17, 44), Riyadh Mehres (7), Phil Foden (32) and Rahim Sterling (58) gave City an easy victory. With this, the result of the second quarter pre-quarter, which takes place on March 16 at the City Stadium, became almost irrelevant.

English Summary: Kylian Mbappe Scores Last Minute-Winner; PSG Beat Real Madrid 1-0
