On October 7, the Mazamet health center is organizing a “Women’s Health Day”, a free event open to all. In connection with Pink October, this day offers a great opportunity to benefit from screening examinations, to participate in prevention activities or simply to learn about women’s health.
The program includes the prevention and screening of female cancers (by appointment), with smears for cervical cancer carried out by a midwife, as well as breast cancer screening by a gynecologist and a midwife. It will even be possible to perform a mammogram on site. The prevention of colorectal cancers will also be addressed, with nurses distributing screening kits. An information stand on cardiovascular health as well as a physical activity session supervised by a specialist (registration required) are also on the program.
