Mays Mouissi’s good points to reduce the cost of living in Gabon –

In a documented and illustrated directory, the Ministry of the Economy and Participations, Mays Mouissi, has drawn up a directory of fifty-one (51) achievements in six (6) months, from September 2023 to March 2024, since the arrival to the power of Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema and the CTRI.

51 achievements with a strong social tone, crystallized around the fight once morest the high cost of living, in particular the reduction in prices of consumer food products, construction materials and quarry products.

The report also lists the maintenance of free electricity and water supplies to low-income subscribers, the price of plane tickets for domestic flights and that of train tickets.

It also mentions new measures which notably include the reduction in fuel prices of 10 Francs per liter and the maintenance of the price of kerosene at 450 Francs, representing a total amount of 51.03 billion CFA Francs from September 2023 to January 2024.

The maintenance of free wheat flour and public transport, the elimination of registration fees in public establishments (pre-primary, primary and secondary), the capping of the price of school uniforms at 13,000 Francs also appear on the catalog of social actions carried out at the instigation of the Ministry of the Economy and Participation in six months of transition.

Mays Mouissi’s good points on the social front are also, we note, the reduction of 10 years in the minimum age for importing used vehicles, the reduction of 1000 Francs in the price of bottle of butane gas which represents a subsidy of 2.5 billion CFA Francs per month.

All these social actions, to be included in the overall catalog of 51 achievements, were implemented thanks to economic and financial diplomacy actions, on the regional financial market, under the leadership of the Ministry of the Economy and Investments, we read.

They will have mobilized a total envelope of 485.1 billion CFA Francs dedicated to financing priority transition projects.
