The head of the Brussels commune would have lost her temper after a disagreement with Abdellah Achaoui, the alderman for the environment and plantations.
According to our own information, there were very strong tensions between the mayor and Abdellah Achaoui in the municipal college. Catherine Moureau therefore decided to summon everyone to her office immediately.
“They left. I heard screams. Then, she returned to the College with aldermen but Achaoui did not return,” a source who prefers to remain anonymous explains to La Libre.
Abdellah Achaoui would have uttered the following sentence in the office: “If your father (editor’s note: former mayor of the commune) were still in this world, this would never have happened like this.” A sentence that would have put Catherine Moureaux beside herself. She allegedly jumped on him, grabbed him by the shirt and dragged him out of his office.
“Abdellah Achaoui showed incredible strength of character in the face of what really looked like a lynching! He let it happen and left straight away,” said an informant to Sudinfo.
