Mayor of Maipú sued for bestiality case: “Horrible act of abuse”

The mayor of Maipu, Thomas Vodanovićannounced this Thursday that the Municipality entered a criminal complaint against those responsible for a case of sexual abuse against a dog registered in the community.

We strongly condemn this horrible act of abuse in front of an animal. As soon as we found out about this situation, we made all our municipal devices available to be able to investigate and solve this case,” Vodanovic said.

Along these lines, the community chief explained that work was carried out “both from our Animal Protection Office and by coordinating directly with the PDI to request an investigation leading to specific sanctionsso that this type of abuse does not continue to occur in our commune”.

The complaint filed by the communal chief requests an investigation to determine who is guilty of the crimes of “acts of mistreatment or cruelty to animals“.

The legal action is part of the complaints raised by various animal groups and the Animal Protection Office of the Municipality, after the viralization of a video in which a man is seen abusing a dog on Monumento street with Chacabuco.

On his Twitter account, Vodanovic also reported that “once we managed to find the whereabouts of the affected animal, we made the municipal veterinarian available for your care“, while they also coordinated a veterinary operation “to monitor the health status of the animals in the sector.”
