Torrado Urpigeneral manager of Datum Internacional, commented this Friday on the latest survey carried out on the next Municipal and Regional Elections 2022. In this recent poll it was learned that Daniel Urresti (Podemos Perú), Rafael López Aliaga (Popular Renovation) and George Forsyth (Somos Perú) continue to lead the voting intention for the mayor of Lima.
“At this time we see a growth trend for Forsyth, it has increased from four points to another in the survey; however, that is not seen in the certificate. We must observe an expectant third place. In the case of Urresti it does seem that there is a small decrease that might have favored the candidate of Together for Peru, Gonzalo Alegría. All the complaints came out almost in parallel with the survey, which will be reflected in the following days. The districts of the Northern Cone are where the Podemos candidate has more strength, “he indicated on the program” Las Cosas Como Son “of RPP.
Torrado pointed out that in the survey of Datumthe sample collected the opinion of 400 citizens through the vote simulation technique and household survey.
When do people decide their vote?
Torrado pointed out that in the recent survey they learned that 56% of the population has already decided their vote for Sunday, October 2 and it will not change, while 19% do not decide until that week and there is 17% who decides the same election day. On the other hand, he pointed out that the people continue to choose the candidate and do not pay attention to the political parties.
“The vote is for the candidate, not for the parties. The lack of political groups in Peru and this weakening of the political class precisely translates into the fact that it is the candidates who are able to capture the people’s vote,” he pointed out.
